Single old vineyard approximately 80 years old. Very low production, and only with Douro indigenous grape varieties, which are diverse. Southern exposure at a relative altitude.
The harvest took place under ideal weather conditions, in the 3rd week of September. The grapes were duly selected, destemmed and partially crushed, followed by the fermentation process over 15 days, concluded with 8 days of maceration. This was followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for 24 months.
Intense red-purple color. Aromas of ripe black fruit combined with nuances of very spicy toast. Harmonious and seductive, it is lively with ripe tannins present but well polished. With an excellent balance between freshness and complexity, it shows good aging ability. Serve between 16ºC to 18ºC.
